Brittany Bettin – Customer Service Representative
I am Brittany Bettin, and I started at Swanson Insurance in February of 2021 as a Customer Service Representative. I grew up in Wall Lake, Iowa and graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Health and Human Services. After College I was a Retail Manger for Limited Brands Stores in the Des Moines area until I moved back to Odebolt in 2012. Before coming to Swanson’s, I worked in the banking industry as a Loan Assistant and Consumer Lender. My husband, Dylan, farms around the Sac County area. We have two kids, Kennedy & Karver. In our free time we love to golf, watch and cheer on our favorite sports teams and spend time with our friends and families.
Katie DeJean – Accountant
Hi, I’m Katie DeJean, and I have been at Swanson Insurance since October of 2007. I am born and raised here in Odebolt. I attended Briar Cliff University and majored in Sports Management. After living in Denver, CO and Sioux Falls, SD I moved back to Odebolt in 2006. My husband, Jason, who also works here at Swanson Insurance, and our three boys reside in Odebolt. In my free time I enjoy traveling, being outside when the weather allows, and attending my boys many activities. At Swanson Insurance, I work in the accounting department.
Jade Carstensen – Insurance Agent & Real Estate Broker
I’m Jade Carstensen, and I have been with Swanson Insurance and Real Estate since March of 2011. I grew up in Odebolt; I attended Iowa State University and moved back to Odebolt in 2010, finishing my Bachelors Degree in Organizational Leadership at Buena Vista University in 2011. I live on a farm outside of Odebolt with my husband, child, and dog where we raise livestock and my husband farms. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and spending time outdoors kayaking and golfing. At Swanson Insurance and Real Estate, I specialize in truck insurance, home insurance, auto insurance, recreation vehicle insurance, commercial insurance, farm insurance, and I am a licensed real estate broker.
Kirstin Grote – Insurance Agent
Hi! My name is Kirstin Grote and I have worked at Swanson Insurance & Real Estate since April of 2021. I grew up in Ida grove and graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Ag Studies and Minor in Agronomy. After living in Ankeny for 3 years, My Husband, Brayton, son, Beau and I moved back to be closer to family. In our spare time, we cheer on the Cyclones and loves to be with Family and Friends. At Swanson Insurance, I specialize in truck, home, auto, commercial, farm and crop insurance. I look forward to building a relationship with my customers!
Bryce Hustedt – Owner & Insurance Agent
Hello, my name is Bryce Hustedt, and I have been in the insurance business since 2005. I graduated from Iowa State University in 1990. I grew up in Odebolt, and moved back in 2007 when I started with Swanson Insurance and Real Estate. In 2009, I became one of four owners. I specialize in crop insurance but am licensed in all lines. I love to hunt and fish when I am not working.
Jason DeJean – Owner & Insurance Agent
Hi, my name is Jason DeJean, and I have been in the insurance business since 2008. I grew up in South Dakota and graduated from Huron University in 1997. Prior to moving to Odebolt, I lived in Sioux Falls and worked for Wells Fargo for 6 years. I moved to Odebolt (which is where my wife grew up) in 2005 and ran/owned a bar and restaurant, called CoBe’s, for a couple years prior to getting into the insurance business. In 2009, I was fortunate enough to become one of the 4 owners in the agency. I mainly work in the P & C area but am licensed in all lines including life insurance. I have 3 boys and enjoy traveling to games and coaching them in their various sports.
